Welcome to Shellharbour Kiama Family Day Care
SKFDC is a community based not for profit organisation that is supported by a group of volunteers that form our a management committee.
A Family Day Care service is a network of experienced and registered educators who provided care for other people’s children in their own homes. Educators have been carefully selected supervised and operate under the Education and Care Services National Regulations, the Children (Education and Care Services National Law Application) Act 2010. Educators and Coordination Units are also assessed and rated against the National Quality Standards to ensure quality and continuous improvement.
Children aged between the age of 6 weeks and 12 years are nurtured in a small group setting and through the educators’ individualized programming, are encouraged to further develop their skills and knowledge.
Family Day Care is:
Flexible
A small group setting in a family environment
1 consistent educator
Can offer out of hours care/overnight care
Can offer holiday care
Can offer before and after school care
